BANK HOLIDAYS IN JULY 2024
The Reserve Bank of India announced the holiday list for both government and private banks in July 2024. Banks will be closed for a total of 12 days in July 2024. These holidays include regional holidays, special holidays of states, weekly holidays on Sundays, and the second and fourth Saturdays.
RBI classifies holidays into three categories: Real-Time Gross Settlement Holidays, Bank Account Closing Holidays, and Holidays under the Negotiable Instruments Act. Customers should know they can continue using banking services through net banking, ATMs, mobile applications, and bank websites, even on holidays.
The specific holidays for banks being closed in July 2024 are as follows:
- July 3: Beh Dinkhlam (Meghalaya)
- July 6: MHIP Day (Mizoram)
- July 7: Weekend (All States)
- July 8: Kang (Rathajatra) (Manipur)
- July 9: Drukpa Tse-ji (Sikkim)
- July 13: Second Saturday of the month (All States)
- July 14: Weekend (All States)
- July 16: Harela (Uttarakhand)
- July 17: Muharram/Ashura/U Tirot Singh Day (Multiple States)
- July 21: Weekend (All States)
- July 27: Fourth Saturday of the month (All States)
- July 18: Weekend (All States)
