Flipkart, a popular e-commerce website, has launched its Unified Payment Interface (UPI) service. This enables users to access digital services such as making payments, paying electric bills, and recharging mobile phones via QR codes. The company has partnered with Axis Bank for UPI services. Rajnish Kumar, the company’s Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, stated that the Flipkart UPI will directly benefit its 50 crore registered customers and 14 lakh merchants.
To activate Flipkart UPI, follow these steps:
- Launch the Flipkart mobile application on your iPhone or Android device.
- Look for the “Scan & Pay” option, which is usually displayed on the app’s homepage or in the navigation menu.
- Select “Scan & Pay”, and the QR code scanner will automatically activate.
- Choose the payment option that best fits your transaction needs, such as “Send Money” or “Scan and Pay.”
- Access your Flipkart UPI account settings by clicking on “My UPI.”
- Look for the option to “Add Bank Account” and select it.
- Follow the prompts to enter your bank account details, including your bank account number, IFSC code, and other necessary information.
- Flipkart will verify your bank account, which may involve confirming your identity through OTP (One-Time Password) verification or other security measures.
- If you wish to link a RuPay credit card to your Flipkart UPI account, look for the option to “Add RuPay Credit Card” under the “My UPI” section and follow the prompts.
- Once you’ve added your bank account and any optional credit cards, you’ll receive a confirmation message indicating that your Flipkart UPI account setup is complete. Your account is now ready for use.
The best part is that Flipkart is offering a discount of Rs 25 on the first order made through UPI. You can also link your RuPay credit card with this UPI, which reduces the dependency on other third-party apps like Paytm, PhonePe, Google, and Amazon Pay. Other companies that have launched their UPI services are Zomato, Tata New, Make My Trip, and WhatsApp.
Simple Steps to Activate Flipkart UPI Services
- Open the Flipkart App on your smartphone.
- Click on the ‘Scan and Pay’ option.
- Select ‘MY UPI’ and then choose your bank name.
- Enter your bank details.
- Your details will be verified by SMS, and then your Flipkart UPI will be activated.
